Description

Only 2,000 bottles produced of this stunning example of a Cornas styled Syrah.  Grown on the Estate on a north facing slope with poor soils mainly consisting of river pebbles these vines really struggle and as a result produce small, highly flavoured dark berries.  The wine is deep purple in colour with a bright edge. A savoury nose with floral hints of dried violets, plums, black cherries and notes of fraises des bois combine with black pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. This is a serious wine showing ripe and bold dark fruit with savoury and spicy notes, black pepper, rounded silky tannins, long powerful finish.  Built to last this wine is coming into its own after two years barrel maturation and four years of resting in bottle!
